Read a peptide in three layers

A schematic chain of eight amino acid residues: G, A, S, L, P, K, E, GG01A02S03L04P05K06E07G08GASLPKEG · 8 residues
Illustrative chain · not a 3D structure prediction

Start with the letters

Each letter represents an amino acid residue. Their order describes the sequence; it does not tell you what the peptide will do.

GASLPKEG is an illustrative sequence, not a featured compound.

BPC-157

3 selected studies

A small uncontrolled knee-pain report and a two-person safety pilot leave human efficacy and longer-term safety unresolved. The selected rat comparison did not show a significant BPC-157 advantage on tendon failure load.

TB-500

3 selected studies

The defined fragment has laboratory/metabolism evidence; the rat tendon result concerns incompletely characterized TB-500-labelled material. A human eye trial studied full-length thymosin β4, so it cannot validate the fragment or injectable TB-500.

Semaglutide

3 selected studies

Three randomized placebo-controlled trials address different questions: weight change, cardiovascular events and a kidney/cardiovascular composite. Interpret each result with its eligibility criteria, analysis population, follow-up and treatment limitations.

Tirzepatide

3 selected studies

SURPASS-2 measured glycemic change in type 2 diabetes; SURMOUNT-1 measured weight change without diabetes. SURMOUNT-4 tested continuation versus withdrawal after a tolerated lead-in. Different populations, comparators and time origins prevent a ranking across these trials.

Retatrutide

4 selected studies

The phase 3 reports measured weight change with and without type 2 diabetes, or HbA1c change on diet and exercise alone. The liver report reused a subset of an earlier obesity trial. Different populations, endpoints and estimands prevent a ranking across these trials; imaging liver-fat reduction does not establish clinical liver outcomes.

GHK-Cu

3 selected studies

An ulcer-gel report favored area closure, while a small post-laser trial found no significant objective difference. A cell study compared bound/free forms. These selected studies leave systemic/injectable efficacy and safety unestablished; missing clinical methods limit confidence.

Know what a source establishes

A cell study, an animal experiment, a clinical trial and a regulator's decision answer different questions. Our sources identify their scope, and recorded review dates are separate from registry updates.
